Should we start a Fansub Group?

If we have the following requirements, then sure:
  1. At least ONE dedicated Translator
  2. At least FOUR other fansubbing staffs who can:
    1. Time
    2. : Time the translated scripts into subtitles so that they match the flow of the speech.
    3. Edit
    4. : English Grammar, Spelling, and Styles!
    5. Typeset
    6. : Make it pretty, not very crucial
    7. Encode
    8. : Can encode the fansub into hardsub in AVI. Must know AVISynth AND VirtualDub.
    9. Karaoke
    10. : This is not required, but it can make the subs look good.
    11. Raw provider
    12. : Well without 'raws' (original videos without any subtitles), we can't do anything!
  3. Fast Distros for BT and IRC
  4. An appealing Group's name

Some Words from Pichu

Do we have a Japanese to English translator? If we do not, starting a fansubbing group will be meaningless. Nevertheless, we have other alternatives. Since there are Chinese in our group, we can always fansub Chinese Anime or Drama in English. Hence, our translators problems are pretty insignificant.

What can I (Pichu) do? I can time, typeset/sfx, karaoke time, karaoke sfx, encode/compile video (aka AfterEffects, AVISynth, Virtualdub, MKV builder to create videos), and perhaps translate from Chinese to English (Chinese subs in traditional chinese or Mandarin). If you need to know HOW, I might be able to show you how. Also, I can distro ftp internally and do bt new releases. I cannot, however, distro archives.

What about group name and initials? That's for you to decide! I'm not interested in being the sole founder. We are basically an equal group, sharing with no hiearchy (i.e. i'm the founder, so u must listen to me!). It will be a free group!

How about raws? I don't know. I'm not good in fetching raws, so what do you all think?
